Join Webinar to Review University of California Updates to Climate Policy

March 15 from 12 - 1 p.m.

The University of California has long been committed to addressing climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, as we continue to see the devastating effects of climate change, it is clear that additional direct action is needed to not only achieve our University's sustainability goals, but serve as a leader and example for how others can do the same.

Join us for webinar March 15 from 12-1 p.m. to discuss the University of California's plans to update its climate policy. The current version relies heavily on carbon offsets, but the University is now proposing to shift to a strategy of direct decarbonization which requires fully transforming campus energy infrastructure.

During this webinar, participants will learn about planned policy changes and gain an opportunity for to share their feedback. This is an excellent opportunity to have your voice heard and to learn more about the University of California's commitment to sustainability.

The draft policy can be accessed through this link. We encourage you to review the document before the webinar and to come prepared with any questions or comments you may have.

Additionally, they have created a Google form where you can share your policy feedback. Your feedback is valuable for helping shape the future of the University of California's climate policy.
