Graduate Student Opportunities

    • The TGIF Graduate Committee member will join the Undergraduate, Staff and Faculty Committee members in reading and evaluating submitted grant proposals and deciding on awards; providing guidance and project management oversight to funded projects; conducting campus outreach to spread word of TGIF funding opportunities; working with the TGIF Grant Manager to administer the TGIF funds; and working in subcommittees and conducting weekly full committee meetings during the academic year to accomplish the work of the Committee.
    • Commitment: 2-5 hours /week, including a weekly committee meeting and sub-committee work. Weekly meetings occur 12:00 – 1:00pm on Wednesdays or, in infrequent cases, according to full committee availability. Two academic year appointment starting Winter 2025 and concluding in Spring 2026 (with the possibility of extension)

    • The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) Grant Program Manager manages and coordinates the TGIF student fee-funded sustainability grant program by supporting the majority undergraduate TGIF Committee; working collaboratively to ensure proper financial oversight of funds; developing and managing proposal submission, review, and award processes; engaging the campus community with TGIF; and cultivating a collaborative working environment and transformative experiential learning experience for both the TGIF Committee and grant recipients.
