Commitment to Fair Review
As a member of the review committee for the UC Davis Campus Sustainability Grant I affirm that:
I am committed to the highest ethical standards in accordance with the UC Standards of Ethical Conduct. I promise to exercise sound judgment and to serve the best interests of the University and to the mission of teaching, research and public service.
I recognize that no unlawful practice or practice at odds with the University’s Core Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct can be justified on the basis of customary practice, expediency or achieving a “higher” purpose. I promise to conduct my review of Campus Sustainability Grant proposals honestly and with integrity and to be accountable as a member of the Grant Review Committee for compliance with applicable laws and University policies.
My assessments of grant proposals will not be made on the basis of personal or departmental gain or favoritism. I will disclose to the Grant Committee Chair any potential conflicts of interest and will take appropriate steps, including abstaining from voting, if it would be impossible for me to objectively rank any proposal.
I am committed to sustainability as defined by the campus sustainability principles and values, University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices, University of California Policy Guidelines for Sustainable Practices and the UC Davis Waste Prevention and Recycling Policy.
