Focus the Celebration is a free night of entertainment packed full of local bands and dance groups! They've been working on songs connected to climate change and sustainability, now come out to Freeborn and dance to their beats!
Schedule of Events
7:30-8:00 pm: Capoeira Dancing
A dance troupe with batucada drums and berimbau will perform dances connected to our ocean and water.
8:10-8:50 pm: Chicken Tractor
This four piece bluegrass band is a virtual think-tank for environmentalism! The dance floor should be stomping during this event!
9:00-9:40 pm: Sex, Funk and Danger
The dancing continues with this local, politically-oriented six piece funk band!
9:50-10:30 pm: Boca Do Rio
A local Brazilian groove band that will end the night with "the best Mardi Gras celebration this side of the Big Easy."
10:40-11:20 pm: Sterling Riot
Local activist Rob Roy's folk-punk band, complete with an accordion, a glockenspiel and an electric violin, will end the celebration with a wild extravaganza!
