Transportation

Human Powered Campus

UC Davis actively encourages and fosters walking and bicycling as ways to get around campus. Some of the many efforts under way: ample bike racks, well-lit walkways, parking structures rather than sprawling parking lots and coordination with the City of Davis to improve pedestrian, bicycle and automobile circulation systems.

Mass Transit

Unitrans, a partnership between ASUCD and the City of Davis, provides public transportation service to all of Davis, with more than 40 buses on 15 routes carrying more than 3 million passengers a year. Each weekday, 20,000-plus Davis residents ride buses to get to destinations on campus and throughout the city. The UCD/UCDMC Shuttle provides service between campus and the Med Center for people affiliated with the University of California, including faculty, staff, students, interns, volunteers, patients, and visitors. And the Intercampus Bus service provides two round trips daily between UC Davis and the Berkeley campus for students, staff and faculty.
